Camp theodore summer 2020
A day in the life of a "Teddy" Camper
A fun-filled day at camp begins when we assemble in the activities building to sing our camp song and hear about activities for the day. Campers are then dismissed to either their classrooms or their first activity. The morning and early afternoon is filled with 30 minute enrichment classes such as Art, Music, Theme and P.E. that include interactive learning to keep your child engaged. Mixed in among the class schedule is time for the children to play in their “dens” (classroom), have a snack, and play on the playground. Most of the classes occur in the morning and are wrapped up after lunch time. Each group eats lunch between 11:00 and 12:00. In the afternoon the older groups have opportunities to use the computer lab and occasionally attend a science class. Special camp activities include ice cream sundaes, making friendship mix, or having a speaker/performer join us!
A day in the life of a PreK “Teddy” Camper
Pre-K campers will enjoy a day filled with stories, music, play, and naps! Our summer Preschool classes are self-contained except for a music class that they attend for 20 minutes each day. Their day consists of Center Time play in the classroom, Story Time twice a day, 30 minutes of playground time twice a day, lunch at 11:00 or 11:30, nap time for one to one-and-a-half hours and a morning and afternoon snack. Campers also take part in our afternoon activities that are developmentally appropriate for our younger campers. Our Pre-K campers especially love our special guest or event days such as splash day and author visits! Camp Theodore provides the perfect balance of play and enrichment. Interested?
